Seaside Estate
The North Shore, MAAn addition and partial renovations to a 12,000 sf mansion and guest house on a small peninsula overlooking the ocean. A new addition of an exercise and family room along the front re-faces the existing facade to meet the owner’s request for a fresh look, while re-creating a cohesive whole for the exterior that mitigates the effects of multiple renovations over the years. The main circulation bridges over a single, long pool of water axially re-connecting the interior with the waterfront. Upgrades to the interior address the owner’s needs by inserting a new central stair that connects all floors and a flexible bar between the Kitchen and Dining Room that doubles for entertaining and the morning coffee routine.
