The son of a contractor, Michael’s exposure to and interest in building construction began in childhood. After receiving a B. Arch degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he went on to study for one year at the ETH in Zurich. His experience extends to many different building types from institutional, to commercial and residential. While working in Vermont, he gained a strong background in environmentally conscious design working on a Net-Zero field house for the Putney School, and super insulated manufacturing and office facilities for NRG Systems. Michael has extensive experience in the design of facilities for primary and secondary education. His recent work includes the El-Hefni Health and Technology Center at Northern Essex Community College, and the renovation and addition to the former Dom Salvio High School for the new East Boston location of the Brook Charter School. At EJA, Michael’s primary responsibilities included exterior envelope detailing and construction administration for The Music Center at Indian Hill.
